Matthias Kleinhempel is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kleinhempel & Partners. With over 25 years of international executive and advisory experience, he leads the firm’s strategic focus on corporate governance, compliance, executive mentoring, and organizational consulting for firms operating in Latin America.

Prior to founding Kleinhempel & Partners, Matthias held multiple senior roles at Siemens, including CEO of Siemens Argentina and Venezuela, CFO for the Mercosur and Andean regions, and Global CEO of the Power Cables Division. His leadership spanned complex corporate environments and high-stakes transformations across multiple countries.

Matthias is also a professor at IAE Business School, where he teaches corporate governance, compliance and decision-making in MBA and executive programs. He brings a unique combination of academic rigor and practical insight to his consulting work.

His passion lies in helping boards and senior executives navigate regulatory complexity, cultural challenges, and strategic transformation in dynamic markets. He also mentors high-potential executives and C-suite leaders in developing resilient, ethical, and effective leadership styles.

Matthias serves as the Business Association for Latin America´s senior advisor in Argentina, and as Honorary Representative of the City of Hamburg in Argentina. He is a  speaker at international conferences and has authored numerous publications on governance, compliance, and regional organization of companies in Latin America.

He has served as President of the Argentine-GermanChamber of Commerce, as Board Member of the Argentine – German University Center, as member of the Board of FUNDES Argentina and as President of IAE's Alumni Association.
